With over 6500 participants from 150 countries the MOOC Circular Economy is actively attended. This week the sixth episode starts, focusing on thinking in systems. It is still possible to enroll for the MOOC Circular Economy and participate at one’s own pace.
In the previous circular economy episodes the focus was on the different ways products and materials can ‘loop back’. Case studies and interviews were used to show what has already been done and how things might develop going forwards in the near future.
In this episode, a more global and long-term perspective of the circular economy is presented. What would it take to achieve a closed materials loop on a global scale? How long will it take to reach such a closed loop system? Will it be environmentally beneficial?
Several student associations are also actively organising events around the MOOC. More information about these events can be found here.
