Dutch greenhouse horticulture is renowned for its global leadership in innovation and efficiency. However, labor is becoming scarcer, costs are rising, and the demand for more sustainable growing methods is increasing. Robots and artificial intelligence hold the key, but the gap between technology and the industry’s day-to-day practices remains large. This is where the HortiHeroes Hackathon, in collaboration with RoboCrops and partners, can make a difference.
During this Hackathon, you will work on generating ideas and practical solutions. How can we use technology to reduce labor, increase productivity, and achieve sustainable growth? Together with your team, you will tackle a concrete case, guided by experts from the horticulture industry.

Who can participate?
You can participate in the Hackathon if you are currently enrolled in an MBO, HBO, or university program. Your field of study doesn’t matter— all knowledge, skills, and fresh perspectives are needed to make a difference!
