Commissioning a student assignment is a wonderful way to deepen your knowledge on a sustainability or circular economy issue in your organisation.  It also gives you the opportunity to work together with our talented Leiden-Delft-Erasmus universities students and academic staff.

Work with students on your sustainability case

At Leiden-Delft-Erasmus universities we educate future transformational leaders, system thinkers and reflexive engineers. Students gain broad knowledge on sustainability and circular economy and develop ‘sustainable skills’, such as dealing with complexity and bridging the gap between science and practice.

We work on a large variety of projects related to circular industriescircular cities and agrifood. Our aim is to look at these topics from an interdisciplinary perspective.  We collaborate with a wide variety of study programs, such as natural sciences, engineering, social sciences,  business studies,  law, philosophy and humanities.

Why participate?

  • Valuable insights for your sustainability case.

  • Contact with ambitious, talented students from various backgrounds.

  • The opportunity to work together with academic staff of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities.

Possibilities

Depending on the question you have we will look for the best match:

  • Sustainability Challenges. Bachelor or master students work in a team of 4-5 students on a consultancy assignment, as part of their study program. Depending on the study program, students work on an assignment 10 weeks fulltime or 20 weeks part time.

  • Interdisciplinary Thesis Lab. Once a year, between February and July, we organize our custom-made interdisciplinary labs. This is a half-year program for graduating master students. Nine students work together on a real-life interdisciplinary sustainability challenge, in 12 bi-weekly sessions. Besides, each student works on an individual thesis related to the sustainability challenge.
