On Wednesday 11 October the University of Twente is organizing the "Planning Inclusive and Sustainable Cities" event. This event features a panel discussion with guest speakers. One of the guest speakers is Saskia Ruijsink also active as Cities and Regions Coordinator at LDE Centre for Sustainability.
The event aims to provide valuable insights and expertise regarding effective approaches to sustainable urban transitions, both on a global and local scale. Its objective is to facilitate discussions on the utilization of urban planning and governance in cities worldwide, spanning from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere, with the intention of fostering the development of greener urban areas. The focus will be on exploring strategies that ensure an inclusive approach, specifically targeting the integration of socio-demographic groups and neighborhoods that face greater challenges in achieving sustainability, leaving no one behind in the pursuit of environmentally-friendly urban environments.
